There is nothing unusual about oak ageing whisky, however, there is increasing interest in beers that have been aged in wood. Whisky maker turned brewer, David MacDonald – founder of Spey Valley Brewery – presents a talk and tasting of beers who’s production has involved the use of wooden casks. An ever growing number of brewers are producing barrel aged beers and this will give attendees an appreciation of the diversity of styles and flavours that are out there.
